The event, attended by engineers, regulators, and key industry stakeholders, focused heavily on compliance with the Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) standards. Key discussions centered on the certification and efficiency of dry transformers, oil-immersed transformers, and busway systems within the Qatari market.
Driving Local Production and Vision 2030 Looking beyond immediate distribution, the partnership has set ambitious long-term goals. Raneen Energy announced plans to establish a local industrial complex in Qatar within the next five years. This facility is slated to manufacture:

- Substation components
- Switchgear panels

Exclusive Distribution and Sustainability Under the new agreement, Raneen Energy becomes the exclusive distributor of Elsewedy Electric’s products in Qatar. Leveraging Elsewedy’s 85 years of industry experience, the partnership is projected to exceed QAR 100 million in value over the coming years.
The seminar also underscored a shared commitment to sustainability. Elsewedy Electric highlighted its environmentally responsible manufacturing processes, which utilize eco-conscious materials to meet the region’s growing demand for green infrastructure solutions.
